RECESSED D-RING (square holes) and BACKING PLATE Set of Four (4) D-Rings and Four (4) Backing Plates 6,000 lb.cap. This tie down attachment has a 6,000 lb. vertical pull weight rating. To install this attachment requires routing, or cutting a hole in the floor. This recessed d-ring has square holes punched for receiving carriage bolts, providing a smooth and relatively "trip free" surface. The steel attachment is zinc coated to inhibit corrosion. When in use the ring portion raises for application and lies down when not in use, thus creating a flush surface.This tie down attachment is plenty strong and is able to receive multiple tiedown straps simultaneously. To obtain maximum strength it is recommended to install these d-rings with bolts, lock nuts, and fender washers (wide diameter). For installation purposes it is easiest to cut a template and then transfer to the desired location. RECESSED D-RING SPECIFICATIONS: *The base measures 5" x 4-1/2" *Hole pattern is 3" x 3-1/2" on centers. *Recessed dimension is 2-1/2" in diameter with a flat edge. *The 7/16" diameter ring measures 1-3/4". *The ring pivots on a 5/16" threaded stud. *The pan has a 1/4" drainage hole. The backing plate is used for support under the floor when installing the attachments, and prevents the bolts from pulling through. It is meant to be utilized with the 6,000lb. D-Ring Recessed 6,000lb. cap. square holes style included in this combination deal (pictured above). BACKING PLATE SPECIFICATIONS: *The backing plate measures 6" x 6" *Thickness is 10 gauge (a little thicker than 1/8). *3/8" holes 2-1/2" diameter cutout *Steel backing plate is zinc coated to inhibit corrosion.
